On the last day of summer vacation, most children are usually playing with friends, swimming, and riding their bikes before returning back to school. A group of local children decided to spend their last day of summer vacation setting up and manning a lemonade stand to raise funds for Grand Lake Hospice. These young, caring kids raised one hundred and seventy five dollars for their efforts and have donated their earnings to Grand Lake Hospice to support patient care.
Grand Lake Hospice is very appreciative of this gift and most importantly of the genuine efforts of these young children as they make a difference in the lives of others!
Grand Lake Hospice is an affiliate of the Grand Lake Health System and provides the community with excellence in end of life care. Families are encouraged to go to Medicare’s website to learn more about the quality of care provided to Grand Lake Hospice as well as the satisfaction scores related to the provision of care. These scores all exceed national scores and may be viewed at www.medicare.gov/hospicecompare.
