(5-12-18) This afternoon a 2011 Chevy vehicle was reported stolen from 314 ½ Forest St. in Sidney.  At around 12:32pm , the vehicle was spotted in the north end of Sidney and that led to a pursuit that led into Shelby County. Due to the high rate of speed and dangerous roads, the pursuit was terminated.

At 2:27 pm, the stolen vehicle was again observed by an officer in the north end of Sidney. An attempt was made to stop the vehicle which resulted in another pursuit. The stolen vehicle attempted to turn from N.Main Ave on to Parkwood St and crashed into a tree on the corner of North Main Ave and Parkwood St. The driver of the vehicle left the scene on foot. After a short foot pursuit, the driver was arrested in the backyard of a residence on N.Main Ave.

Driving the stolen vehicle was Brandt Kellem (24) who was arrested and placed in the Shelby County Jail on two felony charges, receiving stolen property and failure to comply with a police officer..
