Julie Jacobs

(3-13-18) The Grand Lake Health System congratulates Julie Jacobs, Volunteer Development Coordinator, for being awarded the credential of Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS), by the Association for Healthcare Volunteer Resource Professionals (AHVRP) of the American Hospital Association.  CAVS is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the field of volunteer management leaders in healthcare.

To earn the CAVS designation, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of work experience and education, agree to adhere to the Professional Standards of Conduct, and pass the CAVS examination.  This certification requires competency of a healthcare volunteer services manager in seven areas:  plan for strategic healthcare volunteer engagement,  advocacy for healthcare volunteer involvement,  ability to attract and onboard a healthcare workforce,  ability to prepare healthcare volunteers for their roles,  documentation of healthcare volunteer involvement,  measure performance impact and acknowledge, celebrate and sustain healthcare volunteer involvement.   This credential is valid for three years.
