(2-6-18) The JTD Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that a $1,000 gift has been received from the Midwest Electric Community Connection Fund to support men’s health. This gift will be used to support the Annual Prostate Screening at JTDMH.
Joint Township District Memorial Hospital has provided a Prostate Screening Clinic service to the community for the past 26 years in September to align with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
Prostate cancer is the third leading invasive cancer for Ohio residents and makes up over 10 percent of new cancer cases. The Joint Township District Prostate Screening program is held to empower men to know their numbers and take action when needed. Through the Prostate Screening program, many cancers along with many inflammatory processes, have been detected.
The vision of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital is to be the recognized source of health and wellness in the region. Part of that vision is to give people the tools and knowledge to keep themselves well.
Linda Haines, Executive Director of the JTD Hospital Foundation
“We are so appreciative to receive this gift from the Midwest Community Connection Fund. We want to thank the many Midwest Electric customers who make this gift possible.”
