
(6-8-17) — Report from Celina Police –
On Wednesday, June 7, 2017, officers from the Celina Police Department executed two search warrants on the home of 35 year old Timothy Hanna at 804 W. Market St., Celina. The first search warrant was obtained while officers were investigating allegations of felonious assault by means of a deadly weapon and abduction. It is alleged that Hanna by force or threat did restrain the liberty of a 35 year old female, Mollie R. Menke of Delphos. During the incident, which had occurred the evening of June 6th, Ms. Menke was restrained and assaulted by Timothy Hanna. During the struggle she tried multiple times to escape the residence, however, was physically prevented from doing so by Hannah. During the incident Hanna did fire a handgun inside the home. He had threatened both Menke and himself with the weapon. Ms. Menke did escape the residence. She sought medical treatment and then made a report to the Celina Police Department.
During the execution of the first search warrant officers of the Celina Police Department observed item consistent with the use of anabolic steroids. A second search warrant was obtained for the items related to that as well. It was also executed prior to officers leaving the scene.
With the execution of these search warrants officers seized numerous items related to the investigation. These include eight firearms, a fired bullet and casing, numerous syringes, an empty bottle of suspected steroid and 5 partial bottles of suspected steroids, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The warrants were obtained from Judge James Scheer, Celina Municipal Court with the assistance of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
Timothy Hanna was arrested on charges of Abduction, a felony of the 3rd degree as well as Felonious Assault, a felony of the 2nd degree. Hanna is being held without bail in the Mercer County Jail. The Mercer County Prosecutor Matthew Fox is reviewing the case. Further charges are expected. Hannah is scheduled for arraignment in the Celina Municipal Court on Friday, June 9th at 9:00 AM.
