Celina, OH (5-20-24) – Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced today that his office will be participating in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) national Click It or Ticket high-visibility enforcement effort and will have extra deputies patrolling Mercer County from May 20th to June 2nd, 2024.

With the Memorial Day holiday this weekend, Sheriff Grey reminds motorists that area roadways will be more heavily traveled. Sheriff Grey reminds motorist to drive safely and to always wear your seatbelts. Our extra deputies will be assigned to specific areas to have an increase traffic visibility. Deputies will be targeting seatbelts usage, but will also be looking out for unsafe driving, drunk driving, and distracted driving. The purpose of the increase visibility is to reduce traffic crashes, and identify un-safe driving in Mercer County.
