Van Wert, Ohio (4-10-26) — Vantage Career Center hosted its monthly board meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2026, followed by the annual All Boards Dinner, bringing together school board members from partner districts across the Vantage region.

The evening opened with a welcome and introduction from Superintendent Rick Turner, followed by an invocation from Tim Fitzpatrick, Board President. Administrators and board members from across the district were in attendance.
Guests enjoyed a meal prepared by Vantage’s Culinary Arts students under the direction of Chef Luke Trinosky, with assistance from Culinary Aide Emily Hanenkratt. Music for the evening was provided by the Parkway High School Band, directed by Mrs. Amy Drake.
The evening emphasized collaboration and a shared commitment to career-technical education and economic development. Brent Stevens, Executive Director of the Van Wert Area Economic Development Corporation, served as the keynote speaker, sharing insights on the local data center and continued economic growth in Van Wert.
State Representative Roy Klopfenstein, a Vantage alumnus and Alumni Hall of Fame member, was also in attendance and took part in the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. He presented official commendations from the Ohio House of Representatives to this year’s inductees, Marcia Osenga and Les Bowen.
