(4-7-26) l Monday — after 55 years — the Monster thrill ride has been removed from Cedar Park.

Cedar Park spokesman Tony Clark

“Monster has been permanently removed from our ride lineup. It has reached the end of its serviceable life as replacement parts are challenging to locate. It will not be relocated to another property.”

The company that manufactured the Monster went out of business in 1990, the rights to the rides were acquired by Oregon Rides, which were later acquired by Battech Enterprises, a ride manufacturer based in Salem, Oregon.

Cedar Point is not the first park to remove the ride… Kings Island Monster ride did not open during 2025 while waiting for parts.
