Columbus To Atlanta Flight Cleared After Potential Hijacking Incident

(3-29-26) Frontier Airlines Flight #2539, an Airbus A320 from Columbus, Ohio to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport declared a potential Hijacking incident today.

After landing in Atlanta , according to LiveATC recordings, a passenger threatened to kill the woman sitting next to him. He also claimed to have a bomb on board.

In coordination with law enforcement, the plane was directed away from the terminal and parked at a remote location while authorities responded.

The FBI is taking the lead on the investigation. Atlanta Police said its officers investigated and determined it was an unruly passenger and did not treat it as a hijacking at the time.

The incident remains under investigation.
