PRESS RELEASE

On March 27, 2026 at approximately 7:29 a.m. Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire and Rescue and Greenville City Fire, responded to the intersection of US Route 127 and Horatio Harris Creek Road for a reported two vehicle injury crash.

Preliminary investigation revealed a white Jeep Compass driven by Shawndra Byrd (50) of Arcanum, was stopped northbound on US 127 to turn left onto Horatio Harris Creek Road when she was rear-ended by a silver Honda Accord driven by Owen Marker (18) of Greenville.

Both drivers were transported to Wayne HealthCare for minor injuries.
