PRESS RELEASE

On March 20, 2026 at approximately 11:25 a.m. Darke County Deputies along with New Madison Fire and Tri-Village Rescue responded to US Route 127 just north of US Route 36 W for a semi crash with injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2024 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Sherwood Wilson, 56, of Philadelphia PA., was northbound on US Route 127 when the semi drove off the right side of the roadway and overturned onto its passenger side into the ditch. The driver was transported to Wayne HealthCare for minor injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement also assisted with this investigation.
