(2-28-26) Throughout the basketball season, the Fort Recovery Academic Boosters recognized seven deserving students for their commitment to excellence beyond the athletic playing surface. These students received a plaque as well as a $20 Merchant Gift Certificate. Giving the award on Feb. 2nd were science teachers Nina Faller and Kathy Schwieterman and High School Principal Ryan Steinbrunner.

The winner of the Academic Booster Award in Science was Indian senior Elisa Evers. Elisa is an outstanding student who has excelled in every science course FRHS has to offer. Her curiosity, determination, and ability to adapt to life’s changes have made her a fine inspiration. She continues to lead by example with perseverance and a passion for learning.

Outside of the classroom, Elisa participates in Marching, Concert, and Pep Band, SADD, Scholastic Bowl, Spanish Club, Math-Science Club, NHS and Track…to name a few.

Elisa is the daughter of Kevin and Kathy Evers. Upon graduation, she plans to major in Exercise Science at the University of Toledo.
