PRESS RELEASE

On February 27, 2026 at approximately 3:57p.m. Darke County Deputies along with Gettysburg Fire and Rescue and Bradford Rescue responded to the 7600 block of US Route 36 for a three-vehicle injury crash.

Preliminary investigation revealed a black Honda Civic driven by Josie Camacho (21) of New Madison, was traveling westbound on US Route 36 and had slowed down for ducks that had walked out onto the roadway, and was rear-ended by a gray Ford F350 driven by a 17-year-old male driver of Bradford. The Honda then spun into the eastbound lane and was struck by a white Chrysler Town & Country van, driven by Timothy Doubledee (66) of Bradford.

Camacho was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center for her injuries, and Doubledee was transported to Wayne HealthCare. The teen driver was checked by EMS and released at the scene.
