(2-20-26) The Celina Police Department announced the hiring of the first ever female police officer with the city of Celina.

With Hunter in the pictures are Mayor Hazel and Chief Wale.

On 02/20/2026 Mayor Jeff Hazel swore in Hunter Mote with our departmental.

Mote has been Corrections Officer for the Darke County Sheriff’s Office she was born and raised in Greenville, Ohio.

She graduated from Indiana University East with her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology.
