(2-19-26) A three-minute cruiser camera video released by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office from Monday night’s pursuit and crash that claimed the life of Ashlee Holmes (17) of Sidney and her unborn child, Brandon.

During the pursuit speeds reached 124 mph along State Route 47 north of Union City, before the fleeing driver, Tarsem Singh (33) of Union City, lost control in a curve and went left of center striking a Jeep Cherokee head-on.
The Range Rover Velar driven by Tarsem Singh (33) was driving rolled multiple times, ejecting Holmes from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Singh was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton by CareFlight with serious injures.
The driver of the Jeep, Roxana Casarez-Santiago (35) of Union City, Indiana, was treated and released from Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana.

Singh was released from the Miami Valley Hospital and booked on a 3rd degree felony of failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer into the Darke County Jail, where he is being held on a $500,000 cash bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Darke County Municipal Court on Feb. 24.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Darke County Prosecutor’s Office will determine what other charges will include.
