(2-19-26) Tipp City Police Department Chief Greg Adkins update following Caleb Flynn’s arrest on murder charges: Homicide Investigation

On Thursday evening, February 19, 2026, Caleb Flynn, 39, was arrested and charged in connection with the murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn.
Caleb Flynn has been charged with one count of homicide, two counts of felonious assault, and two counts of tampering with evidence.
The Tipp City Police Department appreciates the community’s patience and support while this collaborative investigative team worked diligently on this complex case. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the many agencies that have assisted—and continue to assist—in this investigation involving a tragic loss of life.
As previously stated, the family and community deserve a thorough, professional, and compassionate investigation into this very sensitive matter. As a result of the investigation, probable cause existed to charge Caleb Flynn with the murder of his wife. Due to the ongoing nature of this case, specific investigative details will not be released at this time.
I would like to formally recognize the hard work and dedication of all investigators involved in this case. These individuals have spent countless hours utilizing numerous resources to bring the
investigation to this point. Their work is not complete, and they will continue to pursue this case with integrity and dedication as it proceeds through the court process.
Investigators, patrol officers, and civilian staff from the Tipp City Police Department all played vital roles in advancing this investigation.
We are deeply grateful for the commitment and
professionalism of our collaborative partners, including the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms and Explosives, the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office, regional task force teams, and local agencies that provided additional manpower. Investigations of this magnitude are especially challenging for agencies with limited staffing, and the support of these dedicated partners was essential.

Due to the nature of this case and the pending court proceedings, the Tipp City Police Department will not be conducting additional on-air interviews at this time. Future updates will be released by the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Miami County 911 Center and the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office will be responsible for the release of the 911 recordings. The Tipp City Police Department will make body-worn camera footage available once all required redactions are completed, while ensuring the integrity of the ongoing legal process.
