The Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award recognizes outstanding high school seniors in Ohio. Established in 1989, this prestigious award honors one senior from each of Ohio’s eighty-eight counties for their academic achievements and contributions to their schools and communities. The award is named after Dr. Franklin B. Walter, who served as Ohio’s State Superintendent of Education from 1977 to 1991, and exemplified a commitment to improving education in the state.
