(2-17-26) The Celina Police Department investigated two separate traffic crashes yesterday in which vehicles struck buildings. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident.

On February 16, 2026, at approximately 7:00 a.m., 22-year-old Nathan Longwell was driving a white 2006 Chevrolet van eastbound on Touvelle Street. He failed to negotiate the curve between Mackinaw Street and North Mill Street. The vehicle left the south side of the roadway, ramped over a large rock, and struck a house trailer at the Celina Mobile Home Park, located at 440 Touvelle Street. The residence was vacant at the time of the crash. No injuries occurred, but the trailer sustained heavy damage. Longwell was cited for failure to control.
Later that day, at approximately 7:00 p.m., 53-year-old Diane Fischetti of Lancaster, Ohio, was arriving at the Aldi grocery store at 2001 Havemann Road in Celina. While pulling into a parking space adjacent to the building, her vehicle jumped the curb and struck the structure. No injuries were reported. The building sustained moderate damage.
