Wapakoneta, OH (2-11-26)
— The Auglaize County Agricultural Society is proud to announce the launch of the 2026 Auglaize County Fair Ambassador Program, an exciting, hands-on opportunity designed for students interested in marketing, social media, photography, videography, and event planning.

The Fair Ambassador Program is open to students attending school in or near Auglaize County who are between the ages of 12–18 (grades 7–12) and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selected interns will gain real-world experience while working behind the scenes to promote the 2026 Auglaize County Fair on social media platforms. The 2026 Auglaize County Fair will run from August 2–8.

Drew Niekamp, Fair Ambassador President

“This program is about more than just the fair. Rather, it’s about giving students real skills they can carry into college and future careers. We want students who are motivated, creative, and eager to learn. You don’t need to be an expert in the field, we’ll teach you.”

Interns must have parent or guardian approval and be available during fair week as needed between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. While not required, students with experience or interest in photography, video, or social media management are encouraged to apply.

Selected interns will receive a Fair Ambassador T-shirt and badge, free season pass to the 2026 fair, hands-on training and skill development, and a letter of recommendation from the Auglaize County Fairgrounds Management Staff.

Niekamp added-

“We only have three spots available, which makes this a very special and close-knit program. Our ambassadors will play a big role in telling the story of the fair and connecting with the community throughout the entire week of the fair.”

Applications are open now and will be accepted until February 28th, 2026. Final selections will be made by March 1st, 2026, following review by the Management Marketing Lead and the Fair Ambassador President. Selected students will participate in planning meetings leading up to fair week.

Applications must be completed thoroughly and can include optional portfolio submissions. For more information, or to fill out an application, visit auglaizecountyfair.org or stop by the Fairgrounds Office at 1001 Fairview Drive.
