(2-5-26) The Jay County Sheriff’s Office had a productive week regarding drug arrests. This week, Detective Lennartz and Deputies from the Office, have arrested 7 suspects in narcotic related cases in Portland and Redkey .

The pictures included are from 02/04/2025 in Redkey. Investigator Lennartz followed up on information received on a case, which led to a search warrant in the Town of Redkey.

The following items were seized:


Approximately 52.2 grams of Heroin/Fentanyl
77 grams of Methamphetamine
3 grams of cocaine
numerous syringes and items of paraphernalia
1 loaded handgun

The Jay County Sheriff’s Office continues to focus enforcement of drug related crimes.
