| An Update from State Senator Susan Manchester January 2026 January marked a strong start to the new year with our office spending meaningful time in the district reconnecting with local leaders, businesses, and community members. These conversations help ground our work at the Statehouse with real experiences of the people we serve. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend local meetings, tour facilities, and sit down one-on-one with constituents. Senator Manchester with Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith and folks from Conovus at the America 250 Kickoff Event As a member of the America 250 Commission, I had the opportunity to travel to Columbus to attend the official America 250 kickoff event–an important moment as we prepare to commemorate our nation’s 250th birthday in 2026.The Commission launched the celebration “Ohio Style” and will continue doing so throughout the year with events across the state. These celebrations will feature monthly themes highlighting Ohio’s innovation, evolution, and lasting impact on America over the past 250 years. I encourage you to explore the local and statewide events planned as part of this historic milestone using the resources below: America 250 Website America 250-Ohio Events and Experiences As the General Assembly reconvenes, I look forward to continuing important policy discussions and advancing legislation that impacts you and your family every day.
