(2-3-26) Mercer County Engineer Jim Wiechart announced recently that the last debt payment was made on the financing that assisted the construction of the Mercer County Engineer facility at 4884 Mud Pike.Construction of the facility occurred in 2013 & 2014. Prior to the construction of the facility, Mercer County Engineer operations & office employees were scattered among 4 different geometrically substandard buildings at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.

Construction of the one footprint location has improved the efficiency & effectiveness of engineer operations&planning activities. In all,$4,000,000 of 0% interest 10-year debt supported the construction of the $8,644,153 facility.
