(1-28-26) The local Fr. James O. Byrne Council #1592 Knights of Columbus, Pro-Life Committee Chairman, Joe Kuebler, presented a $50 gift card to Luke and Madilynn Albers of Anna in celebration of the birth of their baby girl. The Albers’ were the first family to welcome a newborn at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital on January 22, 2026—recognized as Right to Life Day.
Their daughter was delivered at the Grand Lake Birthing Center, which provides compassionate, family-centered maternity care in a comfortable and supportive environment. The Birthing Center is dedicated to ensuring a safe, personalized experience for mothers and babies, supported by skilled physicians, nurses, and staff focused on the health and well-being of the entire family.
The Knights of Columbus, as active members of the Catholic Church, firmly believe in the sanctity of all human life, from its beginning at conception in the womb to natural death. The Knights of Columbus’ 2026 theme, “Life is a Gift,” reflects their conviction that life is precious and worthy of protection.
