(1-21-26) Early this morning team members with the Bellefontaine Police Department Special Response Team, executed a search warrant at 1000 Garfield Avenue Lot 70, for a wanted male, Robert J. Price III. Price had evaded capture for almost four years prior to this morning.

Price, who faces felony warrants for nationwide extradition, failure to appear for sentencing in Shelby County, trafficking in drugs, and possession of criminal tools, was located at the residence following an ongoing investigation.

The BPD Special Response Team, which includes Bellefontaine Police K9 Pyro, arrived on location and surrounded the property to ensure a safe and peaceful apprehension of the wanted male.

Price attempted to flee on foot but was quickly confronted and surrendered to multiple team members and K9 Pyro.

Price was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail.

The BPD Special Response Team consists of officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department, Bellefontaine Police K9 Pyro, deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, medics from Bellefontaine Fire Department, and medics from Indian Lake EMS.
