(1-11-26) Throughout the basketball season, the Fort Recovery Academic Boosters will recognize seven deserving students for their commitment to excellence beyond the athletic playing surface. These students receive a plaque as well as a $20 Merchant Gift Certificate.
Giving the award tonight was High School Math Teachers Janice Osterloh & Taylor Franck, High School Principal Ryan Steinbrunner and Academic Booster Representative Erin Minor.
The winner of tonight’s Academic Booster Award in Mathematics was Indian senior Madison Heitkamp.
Madison was chosen by the math department for her outstanding academic performance in the classroom. Madison is excelling in CC+ Calculus. Her attention to detail and outstanding presentation skills make her a standout in the class.
Outside of the classroom, Madison is in NHS, FBLA, Math/Science, Spanish Club, and Student Council. She is also on the Cross Country and Track teams.
Madison is the daughter of Tony and Valerie Heitkamp and plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Wright State Lake Campus
