(1-4-26) Venezuelans around the world are celebrating the capture of President Nicolas Maduro after he was flown out of the country and indicted on drugs charges in the United States.
One person celebrating in Chile said:
‘I’ve come to celebrate because the dictatorship has fallen, Maduro’s drug trafficking has fallen, and Nicolas Maduro and Diosdado Cabello.
We are free, we are all happy that the dictatorship has fallen and that we have a free country.’
Valeria Morillo, who still has family in Caracas, told CBS News.
“After about 30 years of an abusive government, we can now be happy with the fall of Nicolás Maduro.
We cannot wait to be back together again after about 10 years, to celebrate the fall.”
David Nuñez told PBS that he fled to the United States six years ago after being persecuted in Venezuela for his political activism. He hasn’t seen his daughters — ages 8 and 17 — since then.
“The most important thing is that we’re going to be able to be with our families soon. At least for me, I haven’t seen my daughters in six years so I have a lot of mixed feelings. I’ve cried a lot. I’m really happy because I know that I’m going to be able to return to Venezuela very soon.”

Maria Corina Machado wrote in a letter addressed to the Venezuelan people.
“Venezuelans, the hour of freedom has arrived.
“Today, we are ready to assert our mandate and take power. Let us remain vigilant, active, and organized until the democratic transition is complete. A transition that needs ALL of us.
“This is the hour of the citizens. Those of us who risked everything for democracy on June 28th. Those of us who elected Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia as the legitimate President of Venezuela, who must immediately assume his constitutional mandate and be recognized as Commander-in-Chief of the National Armed Forces by all the officers and soldiers who comprise it.”
Who is Maria Corina Machado?????
Machado was awarded the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize for her persistent efforts to defend democratic rights and pursue a peaceful transition to democracy in Venezuela. The Norwegian Nobel Committee praised her as a unifying figure in a deeply divided political landscape.
In 2023 she won the Venezuelan opposition’s primary election, positioning her to challenge President Nicolás Maduro, but was later barred from running by government authorities. After the controversial 2024 election, she supported opposition candidate Edmundo González as her replacement.

Question: When was the last time we removed a country’s leader and that worked out well for the US (think America First)? Iraq and Afghanistan?

well firstly he lost the election and remained in power and persecuted opposition him and his cartel have been terrorizing everyone who opposes him FAIR and just I think not. He continued to try and provoke the US by sending his drug activity to us and then dared someone to try and stop him. That also happened now he can answer for the death and destruction he did to the US under our laws and his country can go back to a peaceful life and establish a fair government. He practically did exactly what the Dumocrats did here. Stole a election and laid waste to the country.
