(St. Marys, Ohio) (12-25) — Grand Lake Health System, an affiliate of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, has earned a three-year accreditation in computed tomography (CT) following a comprehensive review by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®). CT scanning—sometimes referred to as CAT scanning—is a noninvasive medical imaging test that assists physicians in diagnosing conditions and developing personalized treatment plans.

The ACR Gold Seal of Accreditation represents the highest standards in image quality and patient safety. This distinction is awarded only to facilities that meet rigorous criteria outlined in ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards. The accreditation process includes a thorough peer-review evaluation conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists with specialized expertise. Areas assessed include image quality, staff qualifications, equipment performance, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs. Following the review, facilities receive a detailed report to support ongoing quality improvement efforts.
Grand Lake Health System is proud of its team of radiologists, technologists, physicists, and administrators, whose commitment to excellence in both operations and patient care led to achieving ACR CT Accreditation. Patients can be confident that CT scans performed at Grand Lake Health System meet nationally recognized standards for quality and safety.
