(12-19-25) Randy Wyerick (65) of Mendon has been charged by the Celina Police Department with 3 counts of 2nd degree felony of sexual battery, parent or guardian, 2 counts of a 4th degree felony of unlawful sexual Conduct with a minor and 9 counts of a 3rd degree felony of gross sexual imposition, victim younger then 13, statutory.
Wyerick is currently being held in the Mercer County Adult Detention Center without bond awaiting an appearance in Mercer County Common Pleas Court.

In Ohio, if a parent, guardian, or someone in a similar role (like a stepparent, custodian, or in loco parentis) commits sexual battery against a minor, it’s a serious offense often elevated to a second-degree felony, especially if the victim is under 13, triggering mandatory prison time (2-8 years) and large fines ($15,000). This status as a parent/guardian makes it a strict liability crime, meaning consent doesn’t matter, and the offender faces severe penalties, including lifelong sex offender registration
