PRESS RELEASE

(12-14-25) On December 13, 2025 at approximately 7:54 p.m. Darke County Deputies along with Liberty Township Fire Department and Tri-Village Rescue were dispatched to the 800 block of U.S. 36 West, Greenville, in reference to an injury crash.

Preliminary investigation revealed a silver Lexus ES was traveling east on U.S. 36 near Hillgrove-Southern Road. The driver, Samuel Wyrick (83) of Troy, Ohio failed to negotiate the curve causing him to drive off the road and roll his vehicle.

Mr. Wyrick and his passenger, Rebecca Wyrick (77) of Troy, Ohio were transported to Wayne Healthcare for minor injuries sustained from the crash.

Mr. Wyrick was issued a citation for failure to maintain reasonable control. Speed unsafe for the conditions of the roadway is a suspected contributing factor.
