(12-13-25) A Lima man, Rayvon Holmen Jr.(32), is facing a felony charge after a high-speed pursuit through two counties Sunday afternoon.

The incident began just before 4:00 p.m. when Logan County Sheriff’s eputies initiated a traffic stop on U.S. Route 33 for a speeding and erratic driver.

The vehicle, a white Ford Expedition, was driven by Holmen Jr.

The driver initially pulled over near Lima Street and Vine Street in Huntsville, but as deputies approached the SUV, Holmen suddenly took off, fleeing the stop.

Deputies chased the vehicle through several Huntsville streets—including Napoleon, Wishart, and Fourth—before the Expedition cut through a grassy area and re-entered State Route 117 northbound.

Deputies say Holmen weaved in and out of traffic, reaching 113 miles per hour.

The pursuit continued into Hardin County, but deputies terminated the chase as they approached Roundhead for public safety reasons.

Minutes later, dispatch reported a crash near State Route 235 and Center Street in Roundhead.

Deputies found the suspect vehicle, wrecked and abandoned.Witnesses reported seeing a man running from the scene.

Deputies soon spotted a man near an abandoned property on Mill Street.Fresh footprints led deputies to a nearby shed with tarped walls.

After repeated commands, Holmen exited the shed with his hands up and was taken into custody.

Deputies found three cell phones, $3,700 in cash, and two sets of keys, one belonging to the crashed SUV, in Holmen’s possession.

K9 Tega later tracked the suspect’s route and found a wallet and documents containing Holmen’s information.

Holmen was transported to the Logan County Jail and booked on failure to comply.
