(12-8-25) On Saturday, December 6, the Celina Police Department, together with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, St. Henry Police Department, Coldwater Police Department, Rockford Police Department, Fort Recovery Police Department, and Ohio State Highway Patrol Post 6, hosted the annual Shop with a Cop event at Walmart in Celina.

Forty children were invited to shop for gifts for themselves and their families, accompanied by sworn officers and civilian staff, including dispatchers. This year’s event was another outstanding success.

Shop with a Cop provides children with the opportunity to experience a Christmas they might not otherwise have, while also giving participating law enforcement personnel the reward of giving back to the community. The day fosters positive interactions between youth and officers and creates a memorable, uplifting experience for everyone involved.

Thanks goes out to all participating law enforcement agencies, as well as Walmart, Dairy Queen, and C.A.L.L. Ministries, for their generous support.

We are also deeply grateful to the many donors—both large and small—whose contributions make this event possible. Many of these donors are recognized through individual posts on this page.
