(11-27-25) Luke Darby is the newest full time firefighter for the City of Portland. The City of Portland allowed Chief Weitzel to expand the department by adding an additional full time firefighter the budget to better serve the community.

Luke, his wife Sara, and their 3 sons have been lifelong residents of Portland. Luke joined the department in March of 2018 as a part time paid-on-call firefighter. While working part time for PFD, Luke was working full time with the Portland Street Department starting in 2018 , then transferring to the Portland Police Department in 2021.
