Wapakoneta (11-24-25) – The Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on November 23, 2025, at approximately 6:12 a.m. in Auglaize County, Ohio. The crash occurred on IR-75 near Milepost 118.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2019 Kia Soul was southbound on IR-75 and drove off of the right side of the roadway and struck a 2007 Ford Edge that was abandoned. The Kia and the Ford then caught fire and burnt.

The driver and sole occupant of the Kia sustained fatal injuries. At the time of this media release the occupant has not been identified.

The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office, Auglaize County Coroner, Uniopolis Fire Department, Cridersville EMS, Auglaize County CERT, Auglaize County EMA, Ohio Department of Transportation, Nelsons Towing and Tops Towing also responded to the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
