PRESS RELEASE

On November 17, 2025 at approximately 12:41p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Ansonia Fire and Rescue and OSP Motor Carrier Enforcement responded to the intersection of U.S. Route 127 and Brown Road in reference to a two vehicle accident with injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a White 2018 Ford Transit van, driven by David Mims (57), of Dayton, Ohio was traveling South on US Route 127. A Black 2001 Mack 600 Semi, driven by Cory Knoth (36), of Coldwater, was traveling North on U.S. Route 127. Mims drove left of the center line, and struck Knoth in the Northbound semi.

Mims was transported to Wayne Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Mr. Knoth was treated and released on scene. Mims was issued a citation for left of center.
