COLUMBUS, OH – While Jon Husted refuses to commit to lower Ohioans’ health care premiums, Sherrod Brown spoke out against Husted’s inaction and reaffirmed his fight to prevent Ohioans’ health care premiums from skyrocketing.

“The system is rigged, and it’s gotten more rigged since Jon Husted came to the Senate. I am fighting to make sure that insurance rates are stabilized, that people don’t see a doubling and a tripling of their insurance program, all because people like Jon Husted wanted tax cuts for billionaires.”

Jon Husted won’t commit to lowering health care premiums for Ohioans:

• When asked directly whether he’d vote to protect Ohioans’ health care, Husted refused to commit to lowering premiums. 
   
• Jon Husted said he is “happy to be a contributor” to skyrocketing health care costs. 
   
• When it comes to weakening Medicaid, Husted claimed “I love doing that kind of stuff.”
