From Celina City Schools Superintendent Brooke Gessler, 11/5/2025

BULLDOG FAMILIES,

Earlier today, an old device caught fire in a Celina High School classroom. Safety procedures were followed, which included evacuating the building and a teacher using a fire extinguisher to put out the fire before the Celina Fire Department arrived on scene.

The fire is out, and everyone is safe. A few students are being checked by our school nurse for minor irritation caused by the fire extinguisher.

Our technology team is locating the other few devices like the one that caused the issue and removing them.

We appreciate the quick response of our staff and the Celina Fire Department in keeping everyone safe.
