(10-31-25) On October 30, 2025 at approximately 7:51 p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire and Rescue, Greenville City Fire Department, ODOT, and Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement responded to area of U.S. Route 127 North and State Route 49 in reference to a two vehicle crash.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a Brown 2026 Peterbilt 567 hauling an oversized load, driven by Faramuz Shakhpandarov (45) of Dayton, OH was traveling North on US Route 127 in the right lane. A White 2015 GMC Acadia, driven by Mary Hanes (44), of Union City, IN was also traveling North on US Route 127 in the left lane beside the semi. As Shakhpandarov attempted to pass under State Route 49, his oversized load struck the overpass structure. When the load struck the overpass, debris fell, and struck the top of Hanes’ vehicle causing damage.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

ODOT was requested to the scene for inspection of the over pass. As of October 31, 2025 at 12:00am, all traffic lanes have been reopened for normal traffic flow.

With the assistance of OSP Motor Carrier Enforcement, it was discovered the oversized load violated multiple permit restrictions.

Shakhpandarov was issued a citation for Oversized Load Permit violations, as well as fines issued from OSP Motor Carrier Enforcement.
