(10-27-25) The Rockford Carnegie Library was given a beautiful bench in memory of trustee Art Bader, who lost his life last month.

The bench was donated by the family and friends of Mr. Bader. Mr. Bader was a long-time educator and tutor, and he had served the library board of trustees for thirty years.

The library trustees and staff issue a heartfelt thank-you to Mr. Bader’s family and friends for such a lovely tribute to an amazing gentleman.

Seeking A New Trustee
The Rockford Carnegie Library is seeking a trustee to replace Art Bader, who passed away mid-term. The trustees are responsible for setting policy and salaries as well as employing staff, with the director and fiscal officer reporting directly to the trustees. Anyone interested in being considered should please drop off a letter of interest at the library. Trustees must live in the following townships in the Parkway school district: Hopewell, Dublin, Liberty, Blackcreek plus the Village of Rockford.
