Parkway FFA October Review

(10-22-25) This past month has been steady here at the Parkway FFA. Four members, Collin Ketchum, Emma Vantrees, Maggie Rich, and Will Trisel, attended this year’s Ohio Legislative Leadership Conference (OLLC) at the State House. This conference challenged students while helping them better understand the process of our legislative system and how it impacts agriculture.

The chapter started off the month of October byproviding a meal for our local farmers during their harvesting season.

Later that week, our students competed as teams at the State-level Career Development Event (CDE)for soil judging, with our rural team consisting of Emmery Temple, Josiah Neff, Kolt Harner, and Will Trisel, and our urban team consisting of Collin Ketchum, Kallie Brehm, Sam Tickle, and Austin Knapke. Congratulations to these students on a successful year of judging.

Every third Monday of the month, our senior FFA members take the time to prepare an agricultural activity for our first graders. These engagements allow them to grow and expand these young minds’ knowledge of the agricultural world around us.

To finish this month, a few members are headed to Indianapolis to attend this year’s FFA National Convention. These students anxiously await their arrival, getting the opportunity to grow and expand their leadership skills, while connecting and gathering with other FFA members across America.
