UPDATE:
The St. Marys City Schools will now be operating in a controlled access zone for the remainder of the school day. Officers will also be present at each school within the district for the remaining day. If you choose to pick up your child(ren), you may do so. Thank you.
(10-22-25) On today’s date, at approximately 11:48 pm, personnel from the St. Marys City Schools contacted our office regarding a threatening in nature phone call they had received at 11:47 pm. Officers quickly responded to the schools within the district and all schools, including Holy Rosary School, were immediately placed on lockdown for precautionary measures.
Our office, along with the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and FBI are working diligently with the school administration concerning the matter.
State Representative Angie King Releases Statement Following St. Marys City Schools Lockdown
COLUMBUS –State Representative Angie King (R-Celina) today released a statement upon learning about St. Marys City Schools lockdown:
“I’ve been made aware of the lockdown situation and my prayers are with the students and families of St. Marys City Schools. I am closely monitoring the situation, and I have full confidence in the county and local law enforcement. The safety of our students and educators remains our top priority.”
