(10-21-25) Justin E. Straley (42) of Winchester, Indiana was arrested after he allegedly brutally attacked his 8 year old son.
According to Randolph Circuit Court documents, Straley allegedly forced his son to the floor and shoved a sandwich in his mouth.
Straley has been charged with:
- Battery on a Child Resulting in Bodily Injury, a Level 5 Felony
- Battery on a Child, a Level 6 Felony
Officers were dispatched on Oct. 7, by the Department of Child Services on a report of physical abuse toward a child.
Authorities learned that the suspect reportedly beat an 8-year-old victim until he had significant bruises.
His son told police officers that he had been beat before but this instance was the worst. The child also stated that his dad has been verbally abusive and is “mean.”
In another pending case, Straley was charged on September 2nd in Randolph Superior Court with domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old, a Level 6 felony.
His trial in that case is set for February 25th, 2026.
