October 20, 2025 — St. Marys City Schools has placed another employee on leave following an allegation involving a student.
Superintendent Bill Ruane, the district was made aware of the allegation and immediately contacted the student and the student’s parents. The St. Marys Police Department and Children Services were notified.

Ruane said the employee was placed on leave right away and the district is cooperating fully with law enforcement as the investigation continues.
No further details about the allegation or the employee’s identity have been released.

Jordan Blackburn (44) was indicted by an Auglaize County grand jury on two counts of selling dangerous drugs. He pleaded not guilty to the charges during his arraignment Monday and was released on bond.
