(10-2-25) On October 1, 2025 at approximately 10:09 p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire and Rescue, Greenville City Fire, and Greenville Police Department responded to the 4200 Block of State Route 502 in reference to a single vehicle crash with injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a Black 2010 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, driven by Perry Rapier (42), of Greenville was traveling West on State Route 502. A deer ran in Rapier’s pathway, causing him to collide with the deer. Rapier traveled off the left side of the roadway, laying down the motorcycle in the ditch.
Rapier was transported to Wayne hospital to be treated for minor, non-life threatening injuries. No reports of the deer’s condition.
