(9-26-25) On September 26, 2025, at approximately 12:59 p.m., Darke County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of East Alternate State Route 49 and Gordon Landis Road. Assisting agencies included Arcanum Police, Arcanum Fire and Rescue, Pittsburg Fire, Greenville Township Rescue, and CareFlight.

Preliminary investigation indicates a Honda Element, driven by Dana Rose (30), of Arcanum, was northbound on Gordon Landis and had pulled up to the stop sign at E. Alt 49. Rose pulled into the intersection, failing to yield to a Ford F250, operated by Dakota Miles (19), of Huber Heights, who was heading eastbound on E. Alt. 49. The Ford F250, which was pulling a cargo trailer, struck the Honda Element, causing both vehicles to go off the north side of E. Alt 49. The Honda Element struck a utility pole at this time.

Rose sustained serious injuries and was transported via CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.

This crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
