Hartford City, IN – (9-20-25) At the request of the Hartford City Police Department, the Indiana State Police is investigating an officer involved shooting resulting in the injury of one person.

On September 18, 2025, officers from the Hartford City Police Department were serving a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of South Jefferson Street in Hartford City just before 9:00pm. While attempting to arrest individuals at the residence, Glen Wilburn (42) of Hartford City was shot and injured. Medical aid was given by officers on scene until EMS personnel arrived. He was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and later released back into police custody. No officers were injured during the incident.
Two people were arrested by Hartford City Police Department on several charges.

- Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony)
- Unlawful Possession of a Syringe (Level 6 Felony)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class B Misdemeanor)
- Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor)
- Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor)
Amanda Adams (37) of Dunkirk:
- Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug (Level 3 Felony)
- Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 5 Felony)
- Unlawful Possession of a Syringe (Level 6 Felony)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Level 6 Felony)
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony)
- Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor)
- Possession of Paraphernalia (Class B Misdemeanor)
The Hartford City Police Department is working with Indiana State Police investigators to determine what happened and the cause of the shooting. This is an ongoing investigation and, at the conclusion, all information and evidence will be brought to the Blackford County Prosecutor’s Office for review. There is no further information to be released at this time.
