(9-17-25) Back in January, the village installed two Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) at the intersection of Center Street and State Route 49.
These devices are in place to assist pedestrians with crossing that intersection.

Ohio traffic law requires that drivers come to a complete stop before reaching the marked crosswalk when these lights are flashing. Anytime the lights are activated and pedestrians are present, drivers must yield to pedestrians. They should begin yielding when approaching an activated RRFB, and they should not pass another vehicle that has stopped or is slowing down at the crosswalk.
Please pay attention to these crossings and, if you have young drivers or walkers in your family, please have a conversation with them regarding proper procedures for this type of intersection.
Thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe!
