(9-7-25) Two Mercer County men were arrested this weekend.

Matthew Harting (39) of Coldwater was arrested on a 4th degree misdemeanor of criminal trespass. After being booked he was released on bond.
In Ohio, a fourth-degree misdemeanor for criminal trespass occurs when you recklessly enter or remain on private property with notice against it, negligently fail or refuse to leave after being notified, or knowingly enter or remain on a critical infrastructure facility like an oil refinery, electric generating facility, or telecommunications infrastructure. Penalties can include a jail sentence of up to 30 days and/or a fine

Dustin Green (30) of Celina was booked by the Celina Police Department on two first degree misdemeanors of falsification and and a 2nd degree misdemeanor of obstructing official business.
In Ohio, “obstructing official business” as a second-degree misdemeanor means you purposely hindered a public official’s lawful actions without a privilege to do so, and your actions did not create a risk of physical harm. This offense carries potential penalties of up to 90 days in jail and a maximum $750 fine. If your actions created a risk of physical harm, the charge would escalate to a fifth-degree felony, with a longer prison sentence and higher fines.
