(8-26-25) On August 25, 2025 at approximately 11:50p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Union City Police, Fire, and Rescue responded to the area of Ohio-Indiana Stateline Road and Pickett Road in reference to a single vehicle crash with injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a Blue 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Hans Neudecker (85), of Winchester, Indiana was traveling south on Ohio-Indiana Stateline Road. Neudecker suffered a medical event while driving, causing him to lose control of the vehicle…drove off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole.

Neudecker was transported to Reid Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
