(8-26-25) On August 25, 2025 at approximately 6:09p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Ansonia Fire and Rescue responded to the intersection of State Route 118 and Beamsville-Union City road in reference to a two vehicle crash with injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a Red 2014 Infiniti Q50, driven by Francisco Sierra (36), of Union City, Indiana was traveling north on State Route 118. A Gray 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Ashlyn Swank (26), of Rossburg, was traveling south on State Route 118. Sierra failed to yield when turning left, and was struck by Swank.

Swank and her juvenile passenger were transported to Coldwater Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Sierra was transported to Wayne Hospital for non-life threatening injuries as well.

This crash remains under investigation.
