COLUMBUS, OH – (8-18-25) Sherrod Brown launched his campaign for U.S. Senate, pledging to fight for workers and take on a rigged system that benefits corporations and billionaires at the expense of hardworking Ohioans.
A tireless advocate of Ohio families, Sherrod has never stopped fighting: writing the law to get a quarter million Ohioans the Social Security benefits they were owed, leading the effort ensure 100,000 Ohio workers got the retirement they were owed after Wall Street gambled away their pensions, and working with law enforcement to crack down on fentanyl.
While Washington is making life harder for Ohioans by pushing reckless tariffs and economic chaos, spiking drug prices, ripping away health insurance and raising the deficit – all to give billionaires the largest tax cut in American history – Sherrod is running for Senate to make a real difference for Ohioans.
Standing up for workers. Treating everyone with dignity and respect. Working as hard as possible for the people of Ohio.
I’ve tried to live my life by those principles. But these days, that’s not what’s happening in Washington. Because for the past eight months all they’ve done is made things worse for Ohioans, handing over your hard-earned money to corporations and billionaires.
Their reckless tariffs and economic chaos are increasing prices and threatening the survival of small businesses across our state.
Instead of lowering the cost of health care, they’re raising drug prices on seniors and kicking 490,000 hardworking Ohioans off their coverage.
And they’ve increased the deficit by more than 3 trillion dollars, all while giving billionaires the largest tax cut in American history.
I didn’t plan to run for office again, but when I see what’s going on, I know I can do something about it for Ohio. That’s why I’m running for Senate. Because even in these challenging times I still believe if you stand up for workers, treat people with respect and always fight for Ohio, you can actually make a difference.
